The Franklin County Board of Elections will hold a
special meeting at its 1700 Morse Road office, Columbus, Ohio on Thursday,
November 17 to review the 2016 Presidential Election and other issues affecting
the Board.
In a statement signed by the Director, Edward Leonard and
Deputy Director, David Payne, the meeting expected to begin at 1.30pm will hear
facts and render decisions in two challenges of Right to Vote and Correction of
Registration Lists filed by qualified electors of Franklin County.
Other areas include “to consider the appointment,
employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, and/or compensation of
a public employee; discuss and vote on changes to the Veterans Day holiday and
vote on hours for the Board of Elections during the weeks of December 19th,
December 26th and January 9th.”
The unofficial returns released early Thursday, November
9, 2016 by the Franklin County Board of Election recorded the number of voters
in the 2016 Presidential election as 558,599 voters.
