The Franklin County Board of Elections, Columbus, Ohio has said that no
ballots are being held by the USPS for postage as a result of corrections on
mailing of absentee ballots made late last week by the county.
A statement from the county Board of Election said that all
will be delivered to the FCBOE.
Late last week the Franklin County Board of Elections corrected its instructions to voters who are mailing absentee ballots back to its office. The absentee instruction sheet previously listed the return postage rate for a two sheet ballot as $.47 instead of $.68. The postage for mailing back ballots with one page is $.47 and $.68 for two sheets.
The Board of Elections coordinated with senior US Postal Service officials to ensure that any ballots mailed with the incorrect return postage information will be delivered to the Franklin County Board of Elections despite any incorrect postage.
“No ballots are being held by the USPS for postage and will
be delivered to the FCBOE,” it added.
