The inauguration of new officers for the Northland Community Council on Wednesday, April 12 also served as an occasion for recognizing civic associations’ volunteers in the growth and development of their communities.
Officers sworn-in at the awards banquet included Emmanuel Remy, President; Alicia Ward, Vice President; Roger Davidson, Secretary and Felix Quackey Jr., Treasurer.
Some of the awardees included Firefighter John Pizzurro; Columbus Educator of the Year, Michael Sain and Police Officer of the Year Timothy Keller.
The Northland Community Council is a coalition of 25 civic associations, homeowners’ association and community groups in the northeast area of Columbus, Ohio.
